Insider 1.1 for Mac - Speedy text and document searching solution

Belgrade, RS Dec 15, 2011 - Independent developer Sinisa Drpa today is thrilled to announce the release and immediate availability of Insider 1.1 for Mac OS X Lion, an update to the previous version, now with Spotlight support. Insider is one-window app that lets users to find documents and text within them, combining Mac OS Spotlight with Unix find and grep.

With Insider, the search operation is performed realtime, without the need for indexing, and can be limited to particular folder. The resulting matches can be easily previewed using Cover View, QuickLook or text preview - where all matching instances of the search word are highlighted. To save time, there is a previous search list and the searches can be saved and organized for later reuse.

The application provides "Insider with Path" service - the search can be started directly from Finder. It is possible to drag files from the result list to any application or dock icon, sort or preview, even while the search is in progress. Insider is designed with speed and ease of use in mind, in order to get the information as fast as possible without fiddling with a complicated UI. Items can be tagged directly, by entering keywords or by using drag and drop from the recent tags cloud. Tags are searchable by Spotlight or any other application that supports OpenMeta.
